WE WON!!!

At The 9th edition of the Malta Intellectual Property Awards for 2018, Tarsos broke new ground by being awarded the following two awards:

Intellectual Property Award for Technological Initiative

WIPO IP Enterprise Trophy

Both awards were received by Dr. Stephen Mizzi and Dr. Owen Falzon (co-founders of Tarsos) for their innovative research titled ’In-Shoe Monitoring System for Diabetes’.

The purpose of these awards is to give recognition to those individuals and organisations that have pushed the boundaries in their ideas and concepts. By doing so, the government is encouraging the development of innovative ideas and products which have a degree of potential that is both unique and sustainable.

The Award for Technological Innovation involves new or improved tools that result in problem solving through their novel application, thereby enhancing the outcome of a particular process from the use of such equipment or implements.

The scope of the WIPO Awards is to celebrate the achievements of inventors, creators and innovative companies around the world.  The WIPO Awards Program aims to help foster a culture in which innovation and creativity are encouraged at every level of society.
